KUKISHIN-RYU JO-JUTSU with MATS HJELM
Eight Kukishin-ryū jōjutsu kata filmed at Kaigozan Dōjō in Stockholm in July 2015. The stick reaches about armpit height; the same kamae, strikes, and blocks as rokushakubōjutsu apply. Each technique is shown slow then faster from several angles, with no spoken commentary. The defender uses a sword and counters rather than only blocking. Kata: Jūmonji, Roppō, Kyūhō, Hiryū, Tsukeiri, Udekake, Kote-gaeshi, Tachi-otoshi. 20 minutes HD, 1.08 GB, $14.99. Matches Tanrenkai 5’s stick theme with a different Kukishin weapon than weeks 35–37.
Selected to match this week’s Bujinkan news and seminars.
