Tanrenkai 5 is Sunday 20 September, 14:00-17:30, at Döbelnsgatan 64 in Vasastan, Stockholm, in the JSK Taekwondo hall. Theme is hanbojutsu from tradition to reality: hanbō, walking stick, umbrella, and shikomi-zue, in memory of Ed Martin. Toryū brings together Hatsumi Sensei's stick-fighting self-defence and Kukishin-ryū material. Open to experienced budo and other martial-arts practitioners. 200 kr for Bujinkan Toryū Dojo members, 300 kr otherwise. PayPal or pay on site.

He has trained since 1984, spent over 17 years in Japan under Hatsumi Sōke as interpreter and uke, and founded Bujinkan Gray Dōjō in Ibaraki in 2000.
